Description
Modern geospatial techniques such as satellite imagery, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), light detection and ranging (LiDAR), and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are great for collect spatial data with high resolution, high coverage, and high precision, which are crucial for observing the occurrence and process of natural disasters. In this course, we will introduce basic ideas of remote sensing, SAR, LiDAR, and UAVs, and how to use the techniques for detecting, mapping, and analyzing disaster events.
