How do I know my educational background qualified for the program?
We provide compulsory courses that cover knowledge in risk assessment and disaster prevention to strengthen students' fundamentals, but applicants with a bachelor's in engineering (natural resource management, environmental sciences...) are definitely preferable.
How to write study plan, statement of purpose and research plan? Are they all necessary to submit?
All documents are necessary to provide, and please specify your future plan for your research and the study here, or the reason why you want to apply for our program. If you are planning to apply for the NTU Scholarship, the more detailed the better, the more and complete information you provide will enable our committee to know you better. Also, it's welcome to contact a potential advisor for future thesis topics and advice.
Is it necessary to provide English Test Proof? What to do if I can't get it before submission?
The English Proficiency Proof is necessary, but if you aren't able to provide the proof due to external factors, you shall explain the reason and attach it with the certificate that you currently acquire, then upload it to the system; as soon as you have the latest qualified Certificate, send it to Office of International Affairs as reference.
I graduate in current year, what to provide as graduation certificate?
Please provide the certificate of expected graduation or enrollment certificate which indicates your expected graduation date, and email the graduation certificate to the Office of International Affairs before enrollment once you receive admission notice.
What to provide as financial statement if I don't have sufficient funds in my bank account?
Please provide your family or friends' bank statement showing at least TWD 200,000 (USD 6,000) in savings deposit and a guarantee letter signed by them, however, if you don't have one, you may sign a guarantee letter by yourself, then upload to the system.
How to upload the recommendation letters?
There are four ways to submit the recommendation, and we highly suggest to choose "fill in the online recommendation form" method and follow the instruction in the application system.
How can I check the status of my application and result?
The online application system enables you to log into your record and check the status of your application and admitted result.

How much is application fee?
For International Students, it's USD 80 ; for Overseas Chinese Students, it's TWD 1,500

Career Potential
What types of careers can I go into with a master of MDR3?
There is no limit when it comes to career plans, but the courses of MDR3 will allow you to possess advanced knowledge in disaster risk assessment and prevention. Graduates may pursue further Ph.D. studies in related academic institutes. Or, graduates may take on a professional career in the disaster prevention field in governmental agencies, research institutes, the private sector, and other international organizations.
